An Analysis of Cost and Returns of Chick-pea Cultivation in Chhattisgarh

The present study aims to examine the cost and returns of Chick pea. was conducted in Bemetara district Chhattisgarh state. From two blocks namely Saja were selected from bemetara block nine villages six fifteen chick-pea growing farmers each village for investigation study. primary data collected 225 producers through personal interview by survey method. finding revealed that cultivation per hectare ₹32486.21 ha. showed increasing trend with respect farm size holdings. case marginal higher (₹30469.98/ha.) followed small farms (₹31235.90/ha.), medium (₹33587.90/ha.) large (₹35839.01ha.) respectively. On an overall basis input-output ratio 1:81. net return ₹ 26574.80 average yield area 13.03 qt/ha which shows very satisfactory result i.e. about 1.01 qt/ha.
